Laravel SEO Services — Technical SEO for Laravel Applications

Laravel is a superb application framework and a terrible default for SEO. Blade views ship no meta tags, routes emit no canonicals, sitemaps do not exist, and Vue/Inertia front-ends hide content behind JavaScript. I engineer the SEO layer directly into your Laravel codebase — middleware, view composers, packages, caching and structured data — so every route is crawlable, indexable and fast.

    Problems I Solve

Symptoms this engagement is built to fix

Laravel routes returning identical <title> and meta description on every page because Blade layouts hardcode them.

Inertia.js or Vue SPA front-ends serving an empty <div id="app"> to crawlers, so Google indexes nothing.

No XML sitemap, or a static one that never picks up new database-driven URLs.

Duplicate content from trailing slashes, ?page= pagination, query-string filters, and both www and non-www resolving 200.

Slow TTFB from N+1 Eloquent queries, uncached config/routes, and no OPcache or Redis in production.

Multi-language Laravel apps with locale prefixes but no hreflang, so Google picks one locale and drops the rest.

Blog and multi-user content platforms built in Laravel where posts are indexed but never rank because there is no schema, no internal linking, and no canonical strategy.

Why Laravel sites underperform in Google by default

Laravel gives you routing, Eloquent, queues and Blade — but nothing in the framework is opinionated about search. A fresh Laravel install serves one hardcoded <title>, no meta description, no canonical link, no Open Graph tags, no JSON-LD, no robots directives and no sitemap. Every one of those has to be engineered. On top of that, the most common modern Laravel front-end patterns — Inertia with Vue or React, Livewire with heavy JS, or a decoupled SPA hitting an API — render meaningful content client-side. Googlebot can execute JavaScript, but it does so in a deferred second wave with a limited budget, which is why JS-rendered Laravel apps routinely show 'Crawled — currently not indexed' in Search Console for months. My work fixes the cause, not the symptom: content and metadata are emitted server-side in the initial HTML response for every indexable route.

The SEO layer I build into your Laravel codebase

The implementation is code, not a plugin. A dedicated SEO service class (or spatie/laravel-seo, artesaos/seotools, or a bespoke equivalent depending on your stack) exposes a fluent API so every controller sets its own title, description, canonical, robots directives, Open Graph and Twitter Card values. A view composer supplies sensible fallbacks so no route can ever ship empty metadata. Canonicals are generated from the named route rather than the raw request URI, which kills query-string duplication automatically. A middleware normalises trailing slashes, forces the primary host and scheme, and returns 301 — never 302 — for every normalisation. Pagination gets self-referencing canonicals with noindex, follow only where the paginated set adds no value. Robots directives are driven by model state, so drafts and archived records are excluded without touching robots.txt.

Structured data and JSON-LD in Blade

Schema is emitted from the template layer, not bolted on. I build a typed schema helper that renders JSON-LD per route: Organization and WebSite sitewide, Article with author, publisher, datePublished and dateModified on blog routes, Product with offers and aggregateRating on catalogue routes, BreadcrumbList generated from the route hierarchy, FAQPage where a genuine Q&A block exists, and LocalBusiness with geo coordinates for service-area businesses. Because the schema is generated from the same Eloquent models that render the page, the markup can never contradict the visible content — the single most common reason Google marks structured data ineligible for rich results. Everything validates against Google's Rich Result Test, and a scheduled Artisan command re-validates the production sitemap so schema does not silently drift to invalid after a deploy.

Dynamic XML sitemaps driven by your database

A Laravel sitemap must reflect the database, not a hand-written file. I implement a generator (spatie/laravel-sitemap or a custom Artisan command) that queries every indexable model with the same scopes the public routes use — published, not soft-deleted, locale-aware — and writes a sitemap index plus per-type child sitemaps when the URL count exceeds 50,000. lastmod is taken from the model's updated_at, never from the build time, so Google receives an honest change signal. The command runs on the scheduler and after each deploy, output is cached, and Search Console submission is automated. Image and video sitemaps are added where the catalogue justifies them.

Rendering: Inertia, Livewire, Vue and API-first Laravel

If your front-end is Inertia or a Vue/React SPA, metadata and primary content must reach the crawler in the first HTML response. Three routes to that outcome, chosen by your architecture: Inertia SSR running as a Node side-process behind Laravel, which is the cleanest option for Inertia apps; prerendering the indexable route set to static HTML at deploy time and serving it to bots and humans alike from the edge; or moving the marketing and content routes to server-rendered Blade while the authenticated application stays a SPA — usually the highest-ROI split, because the pages that need to rank are rarely the pages that need app-like interactivity. Livewire renders server-side already, but I audit for content that only appears after a wire:init round trip, which crawlers will not wait for.

Performance: TTFB, Core Web Vitals and Laravel-specific wins

Laravel performance work is mostly backend work. I profile with Clockwork or Telescope, eliminate N+1 queries with eager loading, add the missing composite indexes Eloquent relationships imply, and cache config, routes, views and events in production. OPcache with a correctly sized memory pool, Redis for cache and sessions, and response caching for anonymous traffic typically cut TTFB from 800ms+ to under 200ms. Laravel Octane with FrankenPHP or Swoole is on the table where the workload justifies it. On the front end, Vite output is code-split and preloaded, images are converted to AVIF/WebP with explicit dimensions, and fonts are self-hosted with font-display: swap. The measurable target is green field data in the Chrome UX Report — LCP under 2.5s, INP under 200ms, CLS under 0.1 — not a green Lighthouse score on your laptop.

International Laravel SEO: locales, hreflang and geo-targeting

Laravel's localisation makes multi-language sites easy to build and easy to get wrong for search. Locale-prefixed routes (/de/, /fr/, /ar/) need a reciprocal hreflang cluster on every page, generated from the route name so a translated URL can never be missed, plus a correct x-default pointing at the language selector or primary market. I handle RTL rendering for Arabic markets, per-locale sitemaps, locale-aware canonicals that never cross language boundaries, and currency and address formatting that matches each market's expectations. For businesses selling across the UK, EU, North America, Australia and the GCC, this is what stops Google collapsing nine locales into one indexed version.

What about Yoast SEO for Laravel?

Yoast is a WordPress plugin; there is no official Yoast package for Laravel, and the third-party 'Yoast-like' packages mostly provide a readability and keyword-density score in the admin panel rather than real technical SEO. What people actually want when they search for Yoast for Laravel is the outcome: editable meta titles and descriptions per record, a snippet preview, a canonical override field, social share metadata, and automatic sitemap and schema output. I build exactly that as first-class fields on your models, surfaced in Filament or Nova with a live SERP preview — no plugin dependency, no bloat, full control, and output that is measurably better than any plugin because it is generated from your own data model.

    Illustrative Engagement

    A representative scenario

    The problem

A Laravel + Inertia marketplace had 12,000 listing pages and only 400 indexed. Search Console showed 'Crawled — currently not indexed' across the catalogue, and every page shared one title tag.

    The approach

Moved public listing and category routes to server-rendered Blade while keeping the authenticated dashboard on Inertia, built an SEO service class for per-listing metadata and Product schema, generated a sitemap index from the published-listing scope, and cut TTFB from 940ms to 180ms with eager loading, missing indexes and Redis response caching.

    The outcome

Indexed pages rose from 400 to 10,800 in eleven weeks, and non-brand organic clicks grew 6.4x over the following quarter.

Composite scenario based on typical engagements. Replace with a real, attributed case study once published.
